Ever see the ads for those expensive monthly subscription boxes and think, “Man, that’s so cool! Maybe I’m depriving my kid by not dropping $20 a month on those…”
Me, too.
Then I come to my senses and search YouTube, where — for free — you can find amazing, easy-to-follow videos for all kinds of DIY science and art projects. Our most recent triumph: homemade rope-climbers!
Here’s the fantastic video from Deepak Pathania that we used. We were able to scrounge all of the necessary materials from our basement workshop.
We only had to troubleshoot one aspect of this: the size of the rubber band is crucial, and ours were too big! To get the necessary snap, we installed the rubber band and then stretched it tight and knotted it. Easy peasy.
Thanks for being awesome, Deepak! We’re subscribing, and we’ll be back.
