Water’s density changes with its temperature! In this demonstration, we show how two jars of water — one hot and one cold — will either mix or stay separate depending on which jar is on top. Try it yourself!
You will need:
- Two small jars
- Cold and hot (not boiling) water
- Blue and red food coloring
- An eyedropper
- An index card
