I cannot exactly pinpoint the moment when I decided to homeschool my children. I did not have any grand revelation — more of a quiet awakening. Since the birth of my oldest son, I came slowly but firmly to these realizations:
- I love to be with my children. Every. single. day.
- Much of the time spent in school is wasted. (In a less generous mood, I might dare to say “most.”)
- Childhood is really short, and you only get one shot to do it right.
