At school, I try to set up my chalkboard with a display of all the major concepts in our current unit. Sometimes that gets a bit hairy, but I’ve been fine-tuning my set-up for linear equations for a while and think it sums this chapter up nicely.
Included here we have visual definitions of the terms “slope” and “coordinate pair”; an example line; the equation of that line shown in all three forms; and reminders for how to graph a line from an equation in any given form. That’s a lot of information on one board, but follow the color-coding and you’ll be fine.
If you’ve got kids in middle school or high school who are struggling in math, please feel free to reach out to me any time. I’m happy to help in any way I can.
