Currently, my boys and I drive forty minutes to and from school each day.  Most of that is highway driving, so accidents and bad weather can add up to an hour.

To get the most out of that time, we read books, listen to music, sing songs, and talk about our day.  On the drive home, the boys often fall asleep, and I take the opportunity to listen to an audiobook or catch up on my podcasts.

Even if you only drive a few minutes a day, be purposeful in how you use those minutes.  One mom friend of mine drives her seven kids just a few blocks to school, but instead of writing that time off, they use it to say a decade of the rosary as a family twice a day.

What can you do, for your kids and for yourself, to make your daily commute a rich, meaningful part of your day?
